My sister-in-law’s wedding in just a couple of weeks away and I can’t seem to stop DIYing. She found this wonderful movie marquee on Pinterest and as a surprise, I wanted to make it for her and her fiancé. The project in itself isn’t so difficult, it’s just slightly time consuming, having to score all the turns with my exacto knife. But lo and behold, I managed to do it and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. You can find the instructions on making the sign here. I had to redo the letters on Adobe Illustrator since the post only provided the template for the word: movie. I also decided to spray paint it yellow, one reason cause I found it to be cheerier for the wedding and also because I had it in my tool closet. =) Just as an FYI, Each letter took up one standard size foam core and poster board and I used 2 cans of spray paint to finish the product. Also, 2 boxes of cafe lights..you may need more depending on what you plan on writing.
